I went to figure drawing on Monday but the model was bad. REALLY bad. This chick was too and she constantly complained even though she was 20 minutes late. She gets a pass, though, because she went for a pose on a stool and by the time I looked up she had thunked onto the stage and then flopped onto the concrete. She was alright and she posed well overall so a zero sum, I guess. 

The girl that came in Monday hadn’t posed for folks before so, to be fair, she had no idea what she was doing. So I got nothing out of that part of Monday but I did remember that I forgot these. So here. 

More figure drawing last night. The model was this ridiculously austere ballerina and she kind of had an hourglass figure except it was more like an obtuse rectangle with 2 deep indentations between her ribcage and hips. 

Over the weekend I was talking to one of the dudes in this band called Manhattan Murder Mystery and he had a great goddamned idea that I immediately realized was way better than the one I was going to do. It’s funny because he just through out a little tidbit to carry the conversation and I go and jump out ma chair asking him if I can lay claim to it. And he said yes. :D

Scrapped the old idea and half-way there with the new one. That’ll be up later today.

Figure drawing was a mediocre success tonight. Had to miss a couple sessions because of other social priorities and it’s right to two steps forward one step back. Getting there but I feel like an asshole jumping out of the game right when I started to really get the hang of it. 

This is all more studies and stuff for the book I’m doing. Blogging a couple times a week do a pretty good job of moonlighting as a strict deadline. Working on all this also kinda means that the website is going to take an extra bit of time that’ll trickle in over a longer period of time. I’m going to start digital painting some of these as well because that’s a solution that moonlights as a copout. I don’t want to have to redraw and repaint different schemes with watercolor or markers because it’ll take too long. I haven’t figured out how I’m going to color the final deal yet in any case. 

There’s more and I’m switching between projects. The place I live and work on all this has little to no real indication of sunlight or darkness outside so it’s become a perfect chamber of productivity with only all the media in the world over an almost instant connection to keep the night train steady and rollin’. And it seems that one can easily live off cliff bars and frozen dinners. People in the middle ages could never have been this shut-in outside of a monastery. Funny how it took autistic and borderline autistic shut-in tinker geeks to mold our entire way of life into the future so that now almost all our communication goes through a device that neutralizes statements and eliminates any need for body language interpretation. Like there was a conspiracy where an autistic illuminati got together and use their giant brains to engineer the human social world to their wave length.
